The United Church of Christ. Hosting Suggestions

The United Church of Christ has a WebTips page for building a church website. The first thing offered is hosting plans with links to several. Interestingly, WebMedley is still provided. We still have a relationship with them? That is news to me. Apparently we do. WebMedley has a page on the UCC website that speaks to it's PAID VERSION. WebMedley no longer offers the FREE Still Speaking websites although they do support the old ones. Hope the UCC is getting a residual. The FREE publicity is nice. For them. I have always found these short-lists offered by the UCC to be rather cheesy. I guess it is all in who you know, who is in the bubble. But, here they are. I will speak to each.

1 - Free Church Online
2 - Church Online. The upgrade to paid and the UCC gives you a coupon code (enter coupon code UCC25OFF for 25% off your order) nice touch.
3 - For Ministry. The UCC doesn't tell you, but, to be ethical here, you have to sign a statement that says you believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible. They are also the proud owners of God Tube. Need I say more..
4 - Web Medley. How did they get back in the mix?
5 - Nexo Create Church Website. OK. Nexo is no longer accepting new users. You can ditch them off the list.
6 - Site Google. OK. But, I am really surprised that the UCC doesn't offer links to Blogger OR the FREE WordPress, Not just the program. The hosting also. And, there is another not mentioned called OrgSites. Take a look at Claridon Congregational United Church of Christ written in this program.

I will continue this article and point out the pros and cons.
